ACT Card Reader Rentals

If you are planning an event for your campus community or club, you may want to consider renting an ACT card reader. These devices can be used to collect Bama Cash, track attendance, and more. You can request a reader by submitting a request form two weeks prior to the event. Once approved, the reader can be picked up from the ACT Card office for use at your event. You can also promote the event using yard signs or banners.

It eliminates plastic

Using an ACT card reader eliminates plastic. By eliminating physical cards, a company can reduce costs and increase transaction speed. Contactless card use also means less plastic, which means faster transactions and less lost or stolen cards. ACT cards also have an attractive design that can improve customer service.

It makes card use contactless

Almost all retailers now use contactless card readers. However, you may be due to upgrade your terminal soon. The benefits of contactless card technology are obvious, including faster transaction speeds and reduced card loss costs. ACT card readers enable contactless payment without the need for a PIN.

Contactless cards use Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology to communicate with the card reader without coming into contact. The small chip on the card transmits radio waves that are used to identify the card. This same technology is also used in smart devices to connect to your bank accounts. The technology makes the transaction quicker, which means less queueing and a better customer experience.

It reduces lost card charges

An ACT card reader can save money on lost card charges by reducing the number of transactions that need to be processed. This technology also helps eliminate the need for plastic, which reduces lost card costs. With this technology, card transactions can be done at high speed without any hassle. It is also compatible with a wide range of payment methods and has many other advantages.

It is not prohibited by the Electoral Act

The use of the ACT card reader in Nigerian elections is not forbidden by the Electoral Act. However, the use of the card reader has been met with some criticism. A recent case filed by a man who was accused of voting illegally in a state by using the card reader has been rejected by the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court has ruled that INEC did not breach the Electoral Act by using card readers to identify voters. The decision is in line with INEC’s position. They did not invoke section 52 of the Electoral Act to argue for the use of the device in the 2015 elections. Furthermore, the INEC argued that the card reader is not the sole means of accrediting voters.

The ACT has also ruled that the use of a card reader in elections is not prohibited. In fact, if the ACT has a ban on e-voting, the INEC will have a difficult time implementing the device. The law also defines voting as the process and not just the act itself.

The Nigerian Supreme Court has ruled that the use of a Card Reader in an election is not a violation of the Electoral Act. However, the National Assembly did not pass an amendment to the Electoral Act to make it legal. This means that until the Act is amended, the obstacles will remain.

The Electoral Act also requires election officials to take an oath of neutrality and loyalty. In addition, they must affirm that they will not accept bribes or gratification from any person. Breaching this oath is considered dereliction of duty and is punishable by up to N500,000 and 12 months in jail.
